You heard it first on last week's Bigfanboy Livecast, and the rumor is true. our buddy Scott Porter, who plays Jason Street on NBC's FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, is currently in Berlin shooting scenes for the Wachowski Brothers' SPEED RACER. Scott will be playing "Rex Racer", older brother to Speed, who fakes his death and returns as "Racer X" (Matthew Fox). Emile Hirsch will be playing the role of "Speed Racer", with John Goodman playing "Pops", Susan Sarandon playing "Mom Racer", and Christina Ricci as "Trixie".
Congratulations to Scott! He just finished starring in the new PROM NIGHT, and now he's got this under his belt. I give the boy two to three months before he completely stops taking my calls.
