Before I get started in on the tv show Heroes, let me tell you about my version of "The Rule of 3". When it comes to tv shows and comics or some sort of series, I give everything three issues/episodes whatever.
When Heroes came out, I remember being really excited for this show. Despite the fact that it seemed, still seems, like a Rising Stars rip off, I was ready for it.
I broke my rule and gave the show 5 episodes. It was one of the most boring pieces of crap I had seen and Hiro's whole "I did it!" was getting more and more annoying after every episode and commercial.
I really wanted a superhero show on tv. TV is ready for it. Production values have pretty much caught up to big budget movies. Look at Lost, Sopranos, Heroes, 24, Battlestar Galactica and then look at TV from back in the early 90's. nuts looked baaaaaaaad. Star Trek the Next Generation was horrible looking, Highlander was looked cheap, hell even X-Files also looked like it was on the Roger Corman budget.
Anyways...back to Heroes.
I finally noticed that all 3 seasons were on Instant Watch on Netflix.
In the last week or so I'd decided to give Heroes another watch. I mean, it's all 3 seasons "for free", right?
Well, I'm damn near finished with all 3 seasons. While ratings have dropped A LOT and fans have said the show has gotten worse and worse, I find myself disagreeing. Season 1 didn't get good for me until about half way through but fizzled at the end. Season 2 was...ok...season 2 was pretty boring. Season 3, though. Season 3 brings a lot of Chris Claremont's X-Men badassness to it. From the Villains to the Fugitives. I find myself thoroughly enjoyed and I'm probably going to watch season 4 on TV now.
Sadly, with the way ratings are going, this MAY be the last season if people don't start tuning in again.

Season 4 is set to start with a 2 hour premiere on Monday, September 21, 2009
