I've only seen Blade Runner once, and that was quite awhile back. I think it was one of the first DVDs I ever rented when I got my first player (which was three players ago).
So, earlier this year, when there was news that the definitive version was comin' to DVD, I decided to wait patiently, and get it when it came out.
Today, while lookin' for a Star Wars / Transformers toy for my oldest nephew, I saw that Target had Blade Runner - Four-Disc Collector's Edition on sale, since it came out on DVD this week. Now, this is just one of three DVD releases available, but Wal-Mart only had the two-disc "special edition" and no way in hell I was goin' to spring for the five-disc release that comes in a metal suitcase. So, I got the four-disc edition.
From the back of the box -

Introduction by Director Ridley Scott
3 Filmmaker Comentaries, Including one by Ridley Scott
Disc 2: Dangerous Days: Making Blade Runner[/u]

Disc 4: Enhancement Archive[/u]
Audiovisual Mosaic of More Than a Dozen Segments Chronicling Aspects of the Production, Plus Focusses on Syd Mead, Jordan Croneweth, DVD Restoration and Vintage Featurettes.[/i]
Now, my understanding is that the two-disc special edition is the same as the first two discs of the four-disc release. And the five-disc release has the "work print" of the movie, which was screened, by accident, only once, in Los Angeles almost twenty years ago.
Soon as I get my new furniture tomorrow, I'm goin' to settle in & watch me some Blade Runner. I think I'll start with the '82 U.S. Theatrical and just work my way through each one...
