The extremely talented Ioan Gruffudd will be making a rare appearance at the Dallas Comic Con this May 17-19! He's played Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) in FANTASTIC FOUR and FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. Also starred in the HORATIO HORNBLOWER television movies, James Cameron's TITANIC, BLACK HAWK DOWN, KING ARTHUR, Oliver Stone's W., HORRIBLE BOSSES, SANCTUM, RINGER, and multiple voices on both FAMILY GUY and AMERICAN DAD! Ioan joins the growing list of attending actors and artists... Who else thinks it's Fantastic addition?! |

It will be interesting to meet him. I just wish "Silver Surfer" hadn't been so terrible. The first was okay, but Fox is rebooting it now. I'd probably ask him what he thinks about Reed being such a wuss in the second one.

I don't blame him for that Mark, but the writing was borderline awful. Reed became so much more of a leader at the end of the original, but then reverts to hiding his work from Sue in the sequel? Don't even get me started on Reed accepting Johhny's party ideas, either. Reed's supposed to be a brave and steadfast leader, but I feel he got shafted in the second film. Don't even get me started on Sue...

This guy never fit my idea of what Reed was supposed act or look like. Reed should be a bit more rugged and not a sissy... Chickless was ok but The Thing looked like he was wearing a foam suit... Alba was way too young to be Sue... Dr doom was not near diabolical enough... Did they even read the comics?

You should see his HORATIO HORNBLOWER stuff, or his role in AMAZING GRACE which is excellent. I haven't seen RINGER, but heard he's good in it.

"Amazing Grace" was an incredible film, and Ioan did a remarkable job. I'd forgotten about that; thanks for the reminder.
