I'm pretty new to the Battlestar Galactica series. My wife rented the first mini series around Christmas time because she thought I'd enjoy it.
How little did I know that the BOTH of us would end up being hooked.
After watching the mini, my wife couldn't stand being without Battlestar Galactica and went out and bought the other two seasons out there and borrowed a friend's 3rd season that she had recorded.
We watched every single episode in the about a week and a half. Now it's agonizing waiting every week for a new episode.
So now 4th season won't air until next January? Dear god. The nerds will riot.
A real life conversation between me and my wife.
ME "But it's ok! We're getting a mini series buffer in the fall!"
MY WIFE "Whew! That was close! Season three's ending is going to be a doozy I'm..."
ME "Uh...It's taking place on the Pegasus in the past when Admiral Cain was in control of the ship."
The look on her face after I said that turned into such rage that I thought she was going to turn into the Hulk. She went into a rant asking about why they just couldn't make it with the regular cast and save that story or the comics or the novels and on and on and on...
Honestly...I'm going to have to agree.
Why are they doing this?
Why stop the series until next JANUARY and air a little special mini series in the fall about the Pegesus when they could have made a nice little buffer with the regular cast and story?
I'm a little annoyed but I'll still end up watching it.
I mean let's face it, chances are it's going to be good.
But am I going to care as much? Not really. I was honestly hoping for this story to be told in flashbacks when the Pegesus first arrived in the series.
All I can say is.....season 4 better damn be worth the long ass wait.
