SPOILERS are ON. Read at your own risk. Have a title I should be picking up and reviewing on a month to month basis? A TPB I should buy? Hit me up at jpjr101@hotmail.com!
WORLD WAR HULK #1
So Marvel puts out ANOTHER event while Civil War/Initiative is still brandishing most of the covers on the rack.
Does it live up to the hype?
Well...it's better than Civil War and definately a lot more fun.
JR Jr. draws a purrty Hulk kicking Iron Man's and Blackbolt's ass all around while Greg Pak definately writes a tighter story than Mark Millar's Civil War.
NOVA #3
This title is a lot of fun but definately fell a little short. I remember seeing this cover a few months back and was being psyched as all hell. Nova VS Penance (Speedball!) in a post Civil War-era?! Hot damn! This was gonna be good. Sadly the interaction between the two is crammed into a couple of panels before Nova decides to leave Earth and fight in another Annihilation event.
Still, seeing the Thunderbolts get their asses tossed around by Nova is CLASSIC.
New X-Men #39
So more characters get killed off and more characters that died the issue before are brought back to life and characters get their souls taken by characters that were supposed to be dead but are back to life but......Skottie Young draws really really well.
New Avengers #31
Wooooooooow.
Ok....so....Elektra is......a....Skrull...??
Um....wouldn't Wolverine kinda...I dunno...sniff that one out?
And how long would Elektra have been a Skrull? RIGHT after she was brought back? So Elektra was a Skrull during Mark Millar's run on Wolverine?
Is the ending with Jessica Jones' and Luke Cage's kid implying that their kid...is..a Skrull?
This title...is dumb.
JESUS' DVD OF THE WEEK
Rescue Me season 3 is out and is AWESOME as always. Watch this NOW and hurry up and catch the show on FX!
