UPDATED
Spoilers for this are currently OFF. (I know. Unusual for the Jesus Speaks forum but with something so high profile, I don't wanna take away from such a great experience)
Imagine taking the best parts of Halo 2, tossing them at Halo 1, put the the mixture in a blender with next gen grahpics, new weapons, and you MIGHT get an idea of how awesome Halo 3 is.
The enemy AI are truly leaps and bounds above the first two games that will keep you trying new tactics and grabbing new weapons. Nothing ever really happens the same twice.
The game is an amazing 1 player experience but like most new shooters and shooters that have yet to come out, this game is totally made for you and a few buddies. You guys will end up duking it out to see who gets to play as Master Chief in the campaign mode.
The Forge is good fun from what I've tooled with. I haven't gone too in depth with it as I've been too busy running around in the rumble pit. I can tell you that watching the match afterwards and turning it into a drinking game is always good fun.
Halo 3 gets a great 5 out of 5 Jesus Rating.
Ladies and gentlemen.
Halo 3 comes out in two days.
TWO DAYS.
But guess what?
I'VE ALREADY GOT IT! BWHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!
Eat it, fanboys!
;D
I'm not as cool or elite (have enough strings pulled like the other major sites) but I am friends with a manager of a video game store and he managed to sneak me through a copy for me.
I JUST picked it up so the full JESUS REVIEW of Halo 3 will have to wait a couple of days here so I can explore every nook and cranny of it.
But I will say this from what I have played:
It's fricken amazing. And fans of the first 2 will totally be satisfied. No playing as Arbiter. AT ALL. You're the Chief in this game all the way through. The new weapons are definately fun and being able to tear off the turret weapons feels like a refreshing "it's about time" feeling.
That's all I'll say for now, so until then, the big videogame sites have been sparking with reviews. (Thanks to my buddy Sean for sending me all the links)
Reviews have already begun flooding the internet at as follows:
