Hellboy 2: The Golden Army is like the second Blade or X2 flick.
Bigger, better, and awesome.
The grahpics and creatures looke amazing. Like most, the Troll Market has to be my favorite part of the movie. I kept thinking that I'd like to see a flick just about that part of the movie.
Agent Meyers is thankfully gone. Doug Jones finally gets the screen time he deserves but still making me want more of Abe Sapien.
Luke Goss makes a fantastic bad guy again. He stole the show in Blade 2 and came very close to stealing the show in Hellboy 2.
I wasn't really too fond of the whole Matrix-like fight scene. It just felt out of place for me but was still fun enough to not ruin my experience.
The film did have it's dragging moments (the Abe/Princess love story....eh) but the high points definately outweight them and keep me eager for the third flick. However with Del Toro now making the 2 Hobbit flicks, one can wonder if the studio will be willing to wait for him to make another.
Jesus Rating of ++++ out fo 5 crosses.
Definately pay money to see this in theater.
