The big discussion I've seen on the web is who will be the main villians in the next Batman movie.
Will WB force Nolan to recast the Joker?
Will Nolan just come full circle with the series and bring back Ras?
Or someone new?
As for my pick. Well......
But not as some comedic Frank Gorshin/Jim Carrey wannabe Joker.
Nolan's Batman world is dark and grim. It's more realistic. I don't mind the question mark design on the tie but let's not have any sparklie/light bulb covered suits or mind reading machines.
Also, Edward Nygma..NOT his real name for the movie. It should be another clue. The Riddler wants to see if you can catch him. Everything he does corresponds to a larger riddle.
He should be very much like John Doe from se7en.
Other options I'd be ok with:
Ras Al Ghul, Talia Al Ghul and Scarecrow. Let's have a vengeful daughter (or maybe be rebooted as Ras' wife? He did speak of a wife and Bats and Talia hooking up would be...whoa.) take over the League of Assasins and return to Gotham for Batman. Scarecrow makes a comeback as the Ghul's "henchmen" but with a larger role. Ras reveals himself to have survived the train wreck only HINTING to the Lazarus pits but not outright saying it because the Batman universe is grounded more in realism. BUT you know they'll have to start bringing in the superpowers sooner or later. (God I hope not)
Hell no to Catwoman. Too early since Halle Berry's flick.
Penguin.....no. MAYBE as a quick action scene like Scarecrow's from the Dark Knight. The Penguin would be an arms dealer trying to make his move into Gotham when Batman busts in and messes him up. Now who would play as Penguin? Philip Seymore Hoffman. He already knows how to play a badass arms dealer (Mission Impossible 3) and would continue the Batman tradition of having the villians being played by actors that are much better than Christian Bale. (I am a HUGE Bale fan people and he almost steals the show in all of his movies except the Bat flicks)
So......who else has some picks?
