The rumor at MTV is that Will Smith has been offered Captain America. During an MTV News interview regarding his role in “Miracle at St. Anna,” actor Derek Luke had let the rumor slip.
Right now it's just a rumor at this point. This will definately spark debate about a black Captain America if it does happen. A familiar debate that was heard back when Cap was originally intended to be black in the Ultimate Marvel line.

Apparently AICN has debunked the rumor, stating that multiple sources inside Marvel have said that Derek Luke is talking out of his ass.
