For those of you who don't know Lea Hernandez, she's become a fan favorite manga comic artist, who has worked on books like RUMBLE GIRLS for Image and THE PUNISHER MANGAVERSE for Marvel. Recently she had a serious tragedy. Lea's house caught fire, and was severely damaged. She also lost multiple family pets in the blaze. Now the comic industry doesn't exactly make people rich, so events like this can really hurt someone beyond the emotional level. My understanding is that Lea is without a home, and struglling through this horrible situation. Our friends at Zeus Comics are trying to help out Lea by accepting donations, and they're hosting a special gathering or local comic artists for a live art show, where pieces of original art will be sold and the proceeds give directly to Lea's family. Please visit www.zeuscomics.com/ to make a donation. Anything you can give will help make a difference. Or if you want more info on the art show, call 214-219-TOYS and ask for Richard Neal and tell him BIGFANBOY.com sent you. Here are the details I have thus far: CAPE 2.5 Live Art Show - benefiting Lea Hernandez and familyWhen: Saturday September 30th Location: Metro Grill Time: 9pm-?
