According to an article at Variety, Bryan Singer has now officially signed on for ANOTHER Battlestar Galactica remake. Word is that the movie will follow through with story ideas that Singer had when he was originally attached to reboot the series. X2 got in the way, though, and the rest is history. I'm not sure how to take this news. I liked the old show when I was a kid. I don't remember a whole lot from it but the new show is still fresh on my mind. Hell, my wife and I have been rewatching the entire series now that we have the whole collection on dvd. Do we REALLY need another remake of this franchise so soon? Is the public really ready for BSG WITHOUT William Adama, Kara Thrace, and Chief Tyrol? The whole idea looks like an obvious cash in since Star Trek hit big. weblogs.variety.com/bfdealmemo/2009/08/singer-back-to-scifi.html
