We just got sent a new photo from the upcoming film SOLOMON KANE. Based on the creation by Robert E. Howard, this film (starring James Purefoy) looks pretty darn cool. And check out this press release about SK playing at the Toronto Film Festival: The WORLD PREMIERE of Samuel Hadida’s SOLOMON KANE from Robert E. Howard (creator of Conan the Barbarian) which stars James Purefoy (The Philanthropist, Rome, Vanity Fair) and directed/written by Michael J. Bassett will be screened as part of the Toronto International Film Festivals Midnight Madness line-up on Wednesday, September 16 at the Ryerson Theatre. With SOLOMON KANE, Conan and his other heroes, iconic American writer Robert E. Howard created the genre now known as “SWORD & SORCERY,” in the late 1920s and early 1930s. His work has spawned countless imitators and given rise to his influence in the fantasy genre which can be rivaled only by J.R.R. Tolkien (Lord of the Rings). Now just shy of a decade later, SOLOMON KANE is poised to be the next great film trilogy. Here is another photo from the film in case you missed it: And here are the poster images that have been released so far:
